Visitors & Volunteers

We welcome visitors and volunteers, but ask that you follow these regulations:

  • Your visit must be pre-arranged
  • Present your government issued ID (US driver's license or consular card) at the front desk
  • Scan your ID and have your picture taken
  • Wear the issued picture ID at all times (valid for one day)
  • Regular volunteers (20+ hours per school year) must complete a Volunteer Packet, available at the front desk, and receive clearance

Parent Portal

Parent Portal is a useful tool for parents to stay informed and engaged in their child’s education. It gives parents access to view their student's attendance, grades, test scores, classroom assignments and the capability to update contact information.

Please be aware that the information on Parent Portal may not reflect the student’s grades to date. There are many factors that determine how soon a teacher can assess assignments and post graded work. If you have questions or concerns you may contact the teacher directly. Attendance questions should be directed to the office.

Student Check Out

Students may not be checked out

of school after 3:15pm

Please be respectful of the learning environment and show your children that you value their education.

Students will be released ONLY to the parent/guardian on file. If you send a representative to release your student, you must provide written authorization to the office stating your request. Please include the representative's name, date and your signature. The representative must also be listed on the student's emergency card. We will send a pass to release the student after photo identification is provided. If you are releasing your student from school during their PE period, please send a note with your student to speed up the release process.

School to Home Communication

All Calls/All Call Email – Periodically we will be sending all calls/all call emails home in the evening. We use this communication method to give important announcements about school events, registration, and school safety. The phone numbers and email addresses we use originate from the emergency card you filled out at the beginning of the year.

Parent Portal – This website allows you to see how well your student is doing in their classes. Look for the Parent Portal link on the top left of our website. You will need your email and password to log in.

Peachjar – RMS is going green! All flyers can be viewed on our website. Click on the Peachjar link on our website.

PTA – We have an amazing PTA led by our president, Sherry Corona. They have their own PTA Peachjar page and PTA page on our school website.

RMS Webstore – You can purchase planners, ASB cards, yearbooks, and PE clothes online! Click on the link on our website.

Twitter – Follow us on Twitter “Roosevelt Middle @RooseveltMiddl2”. Click on the FOLLOW button next to the Twitter Icon on our website. We will post a picture of the day as well as give important information.

Positive Attributes

Wildcats Show

February's Character Trait is POSITIVITY

February’s PAWS is Positivity!  The root of the word is positive, which means moving forward, or in a direction of increase or progress.  It also means being optimistic or constructive.

We at Roosevelt want to do our best to show positivity in all we do!  We want to do our best to move forward in our lives and our education, and we want to always be making progress.  We also want to stay optimistic as we deal with adversity.   We will be looking for positivity in our students all month, as well as the rest of the year!

The Roosevelt Middle School staff now has Positive Behavior Referrals to hand out to students!  Please remind your son or daughter to be on their best behavior and show PAWS, and they could be given a Wildcat ROAR (Reach Out And Recognize) slip, and be eligible for a free ice cream!
