What is the Roosevelt Middle School Site Council?


The School Site Council is an elected group of parents, teachers, students and staff who work together to improve RMS’s educational programs. School site councils were developed in response to California law, which requires them to allocate and the school’s Single Plan for Student Achievement.


At RMS, Site Council members are also responsible for staying informed on legislative changes affecting education, allocating intervention funds, and advising the administration on important campus issues.
